Friday, October 21st, 2011 Winewomen psp present their 3rd annual fundraiser for the Well in the Desert
Miramonte Resort and Spa, 45000 Indian Wells Lane, Indian Wells.
Enjoy a sumptuous meal outdoors and show presented by OperaArts at the Miramonte Resort and Spa. Back by popular demand from New York will be soprano Jessica Tivens, who, with the very popular baritone Roberto Perlas Gomez, will be singing Broadway and Italian favorites and famous Opera arias, accompanied by pianist Gale Enger. Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 6:00 p.m. "Music of the People"
Palm Springs High School Auditorium, 2401 E. Baristo Rd., Palm Springs.
A concert of 19th-century American folk songs, spirituals and Hutchinson Family songs, featuring KUSC's Alan Chapman, with Karen Benjamin, Cedric Berry, and Victoria Kirsch. An OperaArts educational outreach program at 9:00 a.m. for students, with an added evening concert for the community. Evening concert tickets are $10 per person, children free when accompanied by their parents, and may be purchased at the event.

Sunday, December 4, 2011 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. "For the Children"
Sponsored by OperaArts, the Steinway Society of Riverside County and the Auen Foundation.
The Classic Club, 75-200 Classic Club Dr., Palm Desert.
A fundraiser to support the music programs of the Steinway Society of Riverside County and OperaArts for the children of the Coachella Valley. This concert will feature a Steinway Society Festival winner/ pianist and two OperaArts singers with OperaArts Music Director Victoria Kirsch in a 30-minute program of delightful musical offerings, followed by a delicious sit-down dinner in Classic Club's fine restaurant, Bellatrix. Excellence in education awards will be presented to Louisa Castrodale and Donna Jiaras. In the Bougainvillea Room at Spencer's Restaurant, 701 West Baristo Rd., Palm Springs.
Enjoy a display of assorted fresh pastries, desserts, cookies and petite chocolate favors, served with fruit garnish, trays of domestic cheeses, crackers and sliced French baguettes. A full cash bar will be available. Then, relax and relish the divine voices of two of OperaArts' best singers, bass Keith Colclough and soprano Jamie Chamberlin, accompanied by the piano artistry of Music Director Victoria Kirsch, performing some of the most exciting love songs from musical theater, operetta, Italian favorites and opera. $45 per person, $450 per table of 10. Proceeds help underwrite our Festival of Opera and Art and our Outreach programs to the students of the Coachella Valley Unified School District. Sunday, April 15, 2012, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. "Festival of Opera & Art"
Civic Center Park, 73-510 Fred Waring Drive (Fred Waring and San Pablo Avenue), Palm Desert.
OperaArts and the City of Palm Desert present the 3rd annual Festival of Opera and Art at the Civic Center Park Amphitheater in Palm Desert. Favorite singers from the 2011 fest Raul Hernandez and Daniella Nuzzoli, along with other great singers, will present arias from favorite operas, classic Broadway and melodic and beautiful operetta, accompanied by Maestro Gualtiero Negrini and his Festival orchestra. Well-known pianist Gale Enger will perform on the keyboard from 12:45 to 2:00 p.m. The main concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. A multitude of supervised activities and entertainment await the children, including face painting, arts and crafts, goal soccer and interactive art activities presented by S.C.R.A.P. Gallery. Artists in different genres will display their works. Bring your blankets, chairs and umbrellas and enjoy an old-fashioned day in the park. Free to the public. Enjoy another magical experience of music, dining and evening splendor when "Opera Under the Stars" takes place on Saturday, April 21, on the Rose Lawn in front of the Emerald Ballroom. Join OperaArts Music Director Victoria Kirsch with three exquisite singers as they present another evening of beautiful music from Opera, operetta and classic Broadway. The St. Cecilia Patron of Music award will be presented to Chuck and Gayle Hodges, long-time supporters of opera and other fine music in the Coachella Valley. OperaArts is a non profit organization whose goals are to present quality musical performances, with emphasis on Opera and operetta, to the community at large, with emphasis on our youth and senior citizens. OperaArts was created from the collaborative dreams and efforts of a small consortium of community residents and opera aficionados.

OperaArts will engage in bringing high quality visual arts and art experiences to accompany its musical events whenever possible.
